Christmas Drive
Signal Mountain Social Services is spreading even more holiday cheer this year with new ways to support local families 🎄✨ You can help by donating new, unwrapped toys, warm blankets, socks, and gloves at several community drop-off spots around the Mountain including the MACC, Signal Mountain Preschool locations, Dialed In Chiropractic, and SM Orthodontics & Pediatric Dentistry. You can also check out their Amazon wish list linked at the top of their Facebook page. If you’d like to go a step further, you can sponsor a family or contribute to their Rent & Utility Fund to help local neighbors in need this season.

Signal Mountain Nursery is hosting a fun and festive Succulent Reindeer Workshop to help you welcome the holiday season 🎄✨ In this creative, hands-on class, you’ll build an adorable reindeer from natural birch logs and decorate it with fresh succulents for a unique seasonal touch. Once the holidays are over, the succulents can be replanted and enjoyed all year long.
Christmas Baskets 2025
Signal Mountain Social Services is hosting their annual Christmas Basket Program. This community tradition helps support local families during the holidays. Volunteers will gather on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Nolan Elementary to pack baskets filled with non-perishable food, fresh bread, gifts, and other essentials. The line begins at 8:30 a.m., and doors open at 9:00 a.m.

Storytelling & Book Signing with Anne L.S.B. Davis
McCoy Farm and Gardens is hosting author and artist Anne L.S.B. Davis as she reads and signs copies of her new book, Emma Bell Miles and the Mystery of the Shoe Flower 📚✨ This special event will take place inside the Bachman-McCoy House.

Kick off the holiday season at the Signal Mountain Christmas Tree Lighting 🎄✨ Enjoy visits with Santa, festive music, singing, and performances from local talent. Santa arrives at 4, music begins at 5:30, and the tree lighting takes place at 7. B’s Sweets will also be there with delicious treats and hot drinks. A perfect night to celebrate with the community ❤️

Birding 101
🐦✨Join the Birding 101 workshop at the McCoy Pavilion and discover the joy of birdwatching with the Chattanooga chapter of the Tennessee Ornithological Association! Food Drive
The Signal Mountain Fire and Police Departments are holding their 7th Annual Food Drive to support the Signal Mountain Social Services Food Pantry. They’re collecting canned goods like soups, meats, fruits, and vegetables, along with other nonperishables such as pasta, muffin mix, peanut butter, jelly, oatmeal, and cereal to help fill this year’s Christmas baskets.
As you shop for your holiday meals, consider picking up a few extra items to donate on November 15th. Both fire stations will have drive-thru drop-offs open, rain or shine, and donations can also be made throughout the week leading up to the event.

Get ready for Civilween 2025! 🎃✨ Head to Civil Provisions on Saturday, November 1st for a night packed with live music, 90s dance jams, cocktails, games, and small plates. 👻🍸 Doors open at 6 PM, with performances from Courtney Cowart & Bad Matador and a 90s dance party to follow.
Halloween Party
Celebrate Halloween at Civil Provisions and Bar on October 30th from 5–7 PM with an evening full of festive fun for all ages. The event will feature family-friendly games and activities, including pumpkin painting, face painting, a pumpkin toss, a candy corn guessing game, Halloween Bingo, and Monster Freeze Dance. Guests can also enjoy a special Halloween drink menu with themed beverages for both kids and adults. Costumes are encouraged, so bring your spooky spirit and enjoy a night of Halloween cheer at Civil Provisions and Bar. 🎃👻
Children's Art Classes
Miss Sara Coolidge invites young artists in grades 2–5 to join her for fun and creative art classes at the Mountain Arts Community Center. For $80 per child plus a $10 supply fee, kids will explore mixed-media projects through drawing, painting, printmaking, and collage, with storytime included to spark their imagination.
Cake Decorating Class
Learn the art of cake decorating with Gigi’s Sweet Stop at the Mountain Arts Community Center! 🎂 In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll ice and decorate your own 6-inch, two-layer cake using buttercream and take it home to enjoy. All supplies are provided, and the class is $50—just bring your creativity!
Community Carve
The Bachman Community Center is hosting a community carve to help decorate the center for Halloween! Tickets are $10 per person, including pumpkins and snacks.
